About the Foothills Federal Credit Union

 

It All Began in 1962

Foothills Federal Credit Union Building - Loudon, TennesseeFoothills Federal Credit Union  was chartered as UC Employees Federal Credit Union in 1962 to serve employees of Union Carbide Co. in Loudon, Tennessee.

 

An Expansion in 1983

In 1983 we expanded our charter to include numerous employees groups. In 2001, we changed our name to Foothills Federal Credit Union to reflect our diverse groups of members.

 

City of Sweetwater in 2002

In August of 2002 Foothills Federal Credit Union was approved for an underserved designation to serve the city of Sweetwater, Tennessee.

 

A Merger in 2004

In October 2004, Yale Employees Credit Union merged with Foothills Federal Credit Union. The original location in Lenoir City, Tennessee was kept open as a branch office.

 

Community Charter in 2005

In October 2005, Foothills was approved by NCUA to serve anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Loudon, Monroe, or Blount County.
